Setting New Precedent in Oklahoma Private Education/

Tulsa, Oklahoma, August 2, 2018 -Star University representatives announced today that Star University received licensing from OBPVS, (Oklahoma Board of Private Vocational Schools), Oklahoma’s licensing agency for private and vocational schools.


Star University is an international, virtual university headquartered in Tulsa Oklahoma. Star U utilizes non-traditional, virtual classrooms to fit the needs of individuals in underserved regions in the U.S. and abroad. The university is approved by OBPVS to offer career-ready certificates in Digital Media.


The management and staff of Star University have worked diligently for over the past year to prepare for the licensing approval and site visit,” stated President Robert Brown,” after a highly successful visit by OBPVS in late June, the school received official notice of the vote to approve licensing on August 1st by OBPVS. The school’s initial licensing is effective immediately.
